On May 15th, hundreds joined in the Fashion Capital of the World for Village Care of New York’s annual Tulips & Pansies – The Headdress Affair, a runway show which brings together prestigious fashion and floral designers to create elaborate headdresses. The show kicked off with a welcome and thank you from the evening’s Event Chairs, Richie Rich and Traver Rains of Heatherette and Lydia Hearst. Event host, James Aguiar of Full Frontal Fashion, introduced the judges for the headdress competition who included stylist, Allison Berlin; writer/performer, Frank DeCaro; fashionista, Patrick McDonald; Heatherette designer, Richie Rich and couture designer, Maggie Norris.

Sponsors of Tulips & Pansies include Bank of America, Avanti Health Care Services, Stonebridge Medical, Evercare, Continuing Care Leadership Coalition, Gallagher Benefit Services, Hirschen Singer & Epstein LLP, Marco martelli Associates, Professional Placement Associates Inc., Tala Investments LP, Rums of Puerto Rico and flowers of the world.

Special thanks to the M.A.C. make-up artists who kicked up all the designer looks with their festive and sassy make-up!
